HBOT and Concussions

My husband had an accident this summer on a wakeboard and gave himself a concussion. He hit the water so hard he flew out of his boots. I have read about Hyperbaric Therapy being beneficial for head trauma. He did two sessions but I am wondering how many he needs? Does anyone else have any experiences with concussions and HBOT therapy?

It really depends on the individual, how bad the TBI was, and how quickly the individual was put in a hyperbaric chamber.

If non of the TBI symptoms are still present like:

-short or long term memory issues

-abnormal laughing or crying (emotion)

-persistence of repetition of words or behaviors

-dizziness or fainting

-stiff muscles

-changes in vision

As long as he's still not showing any symptoms of the TBI he's probably fine.
